Membership is about visibility and community — the directory, the network, and the Refuge name working alongside your own practice. Can I join if I’m not licensed? Yes. Refuge includes experienced non-clinical practitioners — coaching, integration, somatic work, harm reduction, breathwork, and more. Non-licensed members work within a clear scope: coaching, education, and support within their training, rather than diagnosis, treatment planning, or medical oversight, which require licensure. Can I keep working with other clinics or organizations? Yes — membership places no restrictions on your professional activities. You’re free to work in private practice or to contract with another organization. Do you set the fees I charge clients? No. You hold the relationship with your clients and set your own fees. Beyond membership, your only financial commitment to Refuge is covering the ad-hoc costs of any infrastructure you use — for example, renting the Loft for a session. What’s the application process? Complete the application describing your background, training, and practice.
