Who Should Apply
Refuge is a thriving community of practitioners committed to doing this work with skill, integrity, and heart. We welcome applications from practitioners at different stages—from emerging to well-established—across licensed clinical and experienced non-clinical modalities.
What we look for:
Demonstrated training and experience in your modality
Commitment to ongoing learning and peer consultation
Clear understanding of scope of practice and ethics
Professional liability insurance (or commitment to obtain)
Collaborative spirit and genuine care for this work
We maintain high standards because our members’ practices reflect on the entire community.
Scope of Practice & Ethics
Refuge provides clear frameworks for working within appropriate scope. Licensed practitioners provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and medical oversight. Non-licensed practitioners provide coaching, education, and support within their trained modalities—not therapy or medical treatment.
The member community includes practitioners across modalities, making it easier to refer when clients need different kinds of support.
Monthly Investment: $100
Your membership covers case consultation/mentorship , community access, professional development opportunities, infrastructure as applicable to your modality (PAT space, medical protocols), and professional visibility through the Refuge network.
